I really wanted to do something incredibly special and unique that would be not only be personal to you but also distinguish me as exceptional and as someone who could do great things for you.  So I took one of your poems, Golden Child, and set it to music.  The exercise itself was not only interesting to me, but it also gave me the opportunity to further concentrate on my goals with you.  Golden Child afforded me the opportunity to learn from you, to truly understand the depth and breadth of your concepts (in this case without the advantage of pre-recorded music), and to participate in your "Uncovered, unhidden, no pretending" exploration of self.

I have worked very hard to craft your carefully written words into song and to, most importantly, maintain the exceptional level of excellence that you have set for creating powerful, compelling, and evocative music.  I do hope that this song not only meets your standards, but that it also embodies all of the meaningful honesty and truth you bring to music, along with all of the emotions expressed in the poem.   The song Golden Child should also remind you how far you have come from your humble beginnings to the legendary performer you are today.  Finally, I hope at long last, that I will have proven myself of worth and value to you not only as a performer and creator of music, but also as your future employee.
